Magufuli's wife discharged from local Hospital
Posted on Friday, November 11, 2016 @ 06:21:36 CST by kwpnews

Dar Es Salaam (KWP) - Tanzania First Lady Mrs Janeth Magufuli, wife of the Tanzanian President John Magufuli was yesterday discharged from hospital after short hospitalization due to  ill health.

Upon her discharge, the first lady expressed gratitude to hospital staff and well wishers who had prayed for her quick recovery.

“ I thank god, that my health has improved, I also wish to express my gratitude to all the hospital staff, I received excellent service because when I was brought here, I was unconscious and my condition was dire, but you fought hard for my health and today I am headed home with improved health” commented the first lady.

The first lady was hospitalized on 09 November, 2016 after an acute health attack that led to her loosing consciousness.

The first lady’s family confidence with local health institutions does not go unnoticed in the wake of the president’s persistent efforts to reduce government waste and also empower government facilities to improve service.

The first lady could have easily gone to any of the top private hospitals in Dar es Salaam but the choice of Muhimbili, the local national referral hospital, is symbolic, and will go a long way in building confidence in the health services provided at such facilities.

The symbolism will also not be lost to politicians that opt for foreign medical services. President Magufuli has once again demonstrated his commitment to lead a lean and efficient system whose concern is improving government services for all Tanzanians irrespective of their social status.
